Sustaiability for our non-slip stay on socks

Here at The Little Sock Co we take sustainability very seriously - not only do we care a lot about the world we are living in, we want a planet where our children’s children can live happily.

We believe every business, no matter how small, has the responsibility to be as sustainable as possible in all areas from the products they make to the processes they use and the way they package it all together.

We are by no means perfect but we are making small changes all the time and promise to continue doing so until we are a fully sustainable brand.

Here’s some of what we are already doing and what we will be doing going forward.

We are proud to say that all of our packaging is fully recyclable, even our stickers, tape, flyers and the padded envelopes that we use.

All of our gift boxes and packaging boxes are made from recycled materials, so is our tissue paper, our stickers, thank you cards and flyers.

Any padding included in our boxes that is not cardboard is either fully recycled and recyclable or fully compostable.

We believe in Slow Fashion, all of the cotton we use in our socks is responsibly sourced. Our socks are cool machine washable - sticking to 30 degrees not only to save energy but also means that your garments will last longer and can be passed down once you are finished with them.

Going forward we aim to remove the plastic tags from our packaging by the end of 2021 and we will be switching some of the toys in our gift sets to more sustainable recycled alternatives.

We will also be looking at using recycled yarns where we can in our garments and adding organic cotton alternatives.

We are very proud of the business partners and suppliers we work with, many of them we have worked with since we were founded. They have been carefully selected for their own ethical policies and by producing our socks in trusted factories, we can ensure that fair and safe working conditions are always in place.

We are always looking for more ways to be sustainable, if you have any ideas I would love to hear about them.

Enjoy your day

Katie x
